I have been with the GVG Academy for about 9 months, with Keagan Beyer as my coach. Whilst I had already been playing golf for a few years I was looking for a coach who would help me begin to master the fundamental techniques of the sport and take my game to the next level. Keagan was exactly the coach and mentor I needed, always focused on the long term and not the ‘now’. He did not just jump into coaching me but took the time to get to know me and assess my abilities before developing a tailored approach for to me grasp the correct techniques for all the key aspects of the game at my level. With great attention to detail, Keagan always provides honest, direct and constructive feedback that helps me understand my progress at all times. Keagan goes above and beyond in supporting his students, a coaching session with him does not finish at the end of the lesson, he sets up maintenance bays for me to independently work on my technique and he keeps an eye on me, providing valuable insights and sharing his knowledge/experiences. As a junior, I also enjoy the fun challenges that put me under pressure and test my skill … for a prize of course. Last but not least I really appreciate Keagan taking his time off on Sundays to attend tournaments, help us prepare/warm-up and assess our ability to apply the various techniques he teaches us at the academy. Thank you, Keagan!
“As a coach, watching one of my players overcome a difficulty, improve a shot, take that step forward…it’s like winning a major!”
“The biggest improvement I’ve seen since I’ve joined is being able to keep the clubface closed and my backswing has also improved.”
“Grant is a great coach because he has fixed my swing a lot. Since I’ve been training with Grant I’ve had my first 2 wins which is very exciting.”
